  The Lone Star Bluegrass Band is 25 Years old this year.    This is an outstanding group of veteran musicians who have made a major contribution to the world of Bluegrass at the regional level.    Chris Hirsch is the leader of the band (Texas State Champion Banjo Picker many times) and is responsible for many Bluegrass events in the Houston area over the years.  He's brought groups to Houston that include The Osborne Brothers (3 times), Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Eddie & Martha Adcock (3 or more times), and many others.  We are fortunate to have this group keeping Bluegrass alive in Houston.   They play frequently at The Steak & Ale (I-10W) and The Hickory Hollow Barbeque Restaurant (Houston Heights); great music and lots of humor.
