i am suzie-q, i live in strasburg, virginia, in the hollerin pines.

i play a d-15 a little every day. i work at a rock shop. i love bluegrass and i love all my friends.

i run my gator a lot here, lol.

i like mopars and the outdoors and nature and food, and my doggie, layla, the jack-a-bee bluegrass pup. i want to have my own business soon, teaching silversmithing and owning a jewelry making supply business. i am a gia student (certified gemologist) but love many other things, especially bluegrass music and the people in the circle of bluegrass music.

i also currently manage shepherd bluegrass stop on msn groups.

Well, my name is Les Sears and I live in Rich Creek, VA near Blacksburg/Roanoke in the southwest portion of Virginia on the scenic New River.

I am a retired Postmaster having served with the USPS for over 28 years. I am a musician and have a band called Keepintime.

I am a Mason (twice W.Master and now lodge secretary), Lion (past President), an Extra Class (K4HYE) Amateur Radio Operator, Current President of GARA Radio Club, I hold a FCC License in AM/FM broadcasting, Musician, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Bluegrasser, and wear many more hats...I am past President of NAPUS Postmasters in Virginia, retired Fireman, impressionist, and a photographer.

I play several instruments including guitar, bass, accordion, and piano....wow..i guess thats enough to keep me busy...?

My name is Heather Ferris and I live in British Columbia, Canada. I play guitar, mandolin and stand up bass. I also love to sing and song write. We have a family band called "The Rusty Bucket Pluckers" which my husband Bob, son Dylan and I play in. Daughter Lindsay doesn't like bluegrass music much so she and I do Irish dancing together which is a lot of fun.

I am a registered nurse and work in Home Care and am one course away from my Bachelor of Nursing Degree that I' ve been working on for a few years.. can't wait for it to be done.

My debut album "Ties that Bind" was released in May and the DJ's on WWB play it a lot which is awesome. Dylan plays mandolin on one tune and I wrote 9/10 of the songs. You can see us at www.heatherferris.com and www.myspace.com/heatherferris

ok here i am. most folks know me as don harris . been that way all my life.l am not ashamed of who i am or where and how i was raised. originaly from missouri lived in Much for 11 yrs now in wisconsin for 37 years. . guess i have worked at most everything from diging graves to running my own construction buisness. never got rich at any of my jobsa. Maybe because i am self taught in everything i have tried but was able to raise 9 children. 3 of my own and 6 step children. i served my time in the army , seems every job i have taken on though i managed to work my way to the top as work is somthing i was used to. I would still be working if my arthuritis would let me . i sure miss it. Everything i have and am i owe to my lord first and my wonderful parents. My faith is very strong and i am very comfortable with it. I know in my hert where i will be when this life is finished. Jesus has prepared my place. I do feel that as long as I can still help someone the lord will let me remain here,. it is not fair to forget to give credit to the lord. As for me and my few acomplishments they can stand on their own. for now i am just another person that tries to be a friend to everyone. earthly treasures and popularity are not my goal, nothing is more important to me than helping folks because i feel the lord wills me to do that.

I am sure many think i spend my days sitting at the puter in the chat room but i do other things. i have knowlege of consturuction so i spend a lot of time doing estimatres and helping others online to learn so they can do work themselves. (it saves them a lot and they can take pride that they did it themselves ). and no i do not get paid in esrthly goods for what i do, it is only passing on knowlege i have gained over the years. I am far from perfect,

I do love good bluegrass music i also enjoy the older country music. I have never strayed from what i will call traditional country bluegrass and the roots music

Hello... my name is Gary Gosser and I live in the NE Ohio city of Cuyahoga Falls. I am retired/disabled from the transportation industry. I worked mostly in the trucking business and also as a transportation manager for manufacturing. I love bluegrass music. I do not play but think of myself as a professional knee-slapper and toe-tapper.

I know Gracie Muldoon from other bluegrass sites and that is how I discovered WWB. I've been listening to WWB this past year and really enjoy the music and interviews. I also like the chat room. My first experience with chat was on a night when there were 32 people chatting at the same time. I could hardly type fast enough! I also know Les Sears from other sites... he is a good cyberfriend and a good trivia player also.

My disablity(lymphedema in my legs and feet) keeps me from attending all the bluegrass shows I'd like to attend. So the internet has become a valueable resource for me. I have a myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/grasslover

My Name is Ryan Russell and I live in Lawrenceville Georgia, I am working in IT right now, but I wan't to be a school teacher eventually. I have always wanted to.

I play the Mandolin and guitar, and am trying to pick up the banjo. I have been playing music since I was 4 when I got a 3/4 scale guitar. I have also played electric bass in a metal band, plus just about every brass intrument. I tend to dabble as well a babble.

I recently, IE one year ago got out of active duty in the US Navy. My knees are shot, so is my lower back, and right shoulder.

I am a technician class KI4REX Amateur Radio Operator, and am pursueing my general class as we speek. When health permits, I hike, fish, and hunt.

Howdie all,

Well I'll start with my name, Warren Cain. I was born and brought up in a small town in northern Maine (pop 250). I have been blessed with a wonderful wife and 3 sons, one of which has given me a grandson and 2 grandaughters. Another has given me a bunch of "grandchildren" with four legs and hairy faces. (mostly blueticks) At 56 I'm still working for the railroad but I don't know how long old arthir is going to let me continue at what I do. I am a sort of a misfit herebouts cuz I do say things like ya'll and it drives everyone nuts. I don't know when I really started it but it gets me a lot of funny looks.

I really got into bluegrass a coupla years ago when I attened my first festival and was instantly hooked. It was just after I was bitten by another bug. I have always liked old country and really envied those of you who can make the music. I finally got a wild hair to give it a try and whet out and picked up a dobro, then a flatop, than a lap steel, and a mandolin, neighbor gave me a fiddle and my wife got me a banjo. Little did she know how loud on of them 5 string devils can be. I try to put in time each day on the dobro and flatop. I am truly addicited to it but can find no one around here who plays and I'm not sure as I could afford lessons anyhew. So I have been learning to read tab and pick up what I can on my own. I have been having a blast with it. I now live in Milo, Maine which is about 40 miles from Bangor. Small town but not in comparison as the pop here is about 2000.

My name is Dana Allen and I live in a suburb of Baltimore. I have been listening to bluegrass music for twenty-three years - I didn't like it at first - it kinda grew on me tho.

I began webcasting bluegrass music at a local venue here in the Batimore area three years ago and found out there was a broadcaster in me just waiting to be let out - hehehe

I found my way to the WWB and I am mighty proud to be associated with a fine group of folks here at the WWB.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programing already in progress.......World Wide Bluegrass Radio.

I live in southeastern, PA. Been married for 23 years to my wonderful husband, Don.
Between us we have 5 kids, his two sons, my one son and OUR one son and daughter. Two little grandchildren, girl and boy!
My husband taught my son Alan to play guitar when he was 15. When he went away to college he had joined a band called Second Edition that has since disbanded and gone their separate ways. But over the past 15 years my love of bluegrass has grown and it's so nice to find this community of listeners who also enjoy it

I sure enjoy the fine people of WWB and the chance to listen to the music non-stop when I am able~

Well I was to young to go to woodstock 1.So i started to going to bluegrass festivals in the 70's.Yes sir drugs sex & bluegrass?Well i got a bluegrass addition .Went and made me a set of spoons i got from the 5&10 store,been playing the same set for 37 yrs now.Before youall say anything, i know a spoon player is the only thing lower than a banjoe picker.However i was born and raised in W.Va..when they got them four lane gravel highways built i left.Yep drove over the bridge,now i am a buckeye.Asking yourself why washboad if i'am a spoon player.Well once i mastered the spoons i started looking for something harder,end up at a black oak arkansas concert,their was this fellow playing hot & nasty on the washboard.That was it. Went that weekend to a flea market and bought a 1963 columbus Half sise washboard.Stole the thimbles out of my grandmth.sewing box,been playing it for 32 yrs. Ive played with some of the best jhon, sam, doc ect... over the yrs.been a blast.In the last five yrs i've picked me up one of those string insterments.Now i was never any good at schooling so i cant read music.can't remember my home phone #can't learn tabs or words.After 40 yrs still dont know the words to foggy mountain break down.The insterment i got, only got one string.Figger i start out with just one work my way up ,play by ear you know.Well i get ask at every jam 3 little questions.1 how do u tune it?2 how do you play it ?3 what happens when you break a string? Ok 1 .I tune it to D.2 I play it with a pick.3Ido just like anyone else that has ever broken a string,I just keep on singing.

I just found this great site yesterday!

My name is Kim, I'm from Central Missouri, Jefferson City, about halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis. I'm a HUGE Rhonda Vincent and the Rage fan. Before I "discovered" Rhonda my exposure to bluegrass was pretty much Alison Krause and Union Station. When I heard Rhonda Vincent sing the first time, it stopped me right in my tracks and I've been hooked ever since. I'm learing more and more about the genre and find that bluegrass fans are the best and friendliest people! I have 2 kids, a son who will turn 23 in a few weeks and a daughter who is in high school, age 15. I also have 2 dogs and 2 cats (but they don't know they are critters, they are my "babies!"). I was raised in a musical family, my mom sang with a big bad for over 20 years, my dad used to play the guitar when he'd be home. He was in the Air Force and I was born and raised a "brat". I have 1 brother who also plays the guitar. Unfortunately, all I can play is the radio.... I was in law enforcement for 19 years but now work for state government. I decided that as a single parent, I needed a less hazardous career... I'm enjoying hearing and learning about new musicians and even about the pioneers. My grandfather played a fiddle and that was always my special treat for him to play for us.

Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome in chat last night and earlier today and I look forward to meeting more of you!
