I thought this cd was good. There was lots of good music on it and it also featured duets with Dolly Parton, and Bobby Osborne. Instrumentalists include: Josh Williams: Guitar, Harmony Vocals, Mandolin, Randy Kohrs: Resophonic Guitar, Bryan Sutton: Acoustic Guitar, Arch Top Guitar.
Well that's all I can think of........now you know what I meant by nut much of a "review writer".
This is great project for Rhonda..I would consider it right up there with the rest...She has had some great work in the past and will continue to reign as the best female vocalist in my book...She truly is a "All American Bluegrass Girl"
OK sorry about the last post.Iwent to the libary and checked out the C>D.Played it and still she has to much of a modern country voice. The band is so so. ,her mandolin pickin is dry. It's not a album i would go buy.I feel there is too much nashville influence.I think nashville has tried to latch on to bluegrass to make a extra buck.I've been to nashville and the hottest bluegrass bar looks like a closed down gas station.I think its called union station?to tell the truth it was a good fit for bluegrass and enjoyed it very much. For a city to proclaim itself the heart of bluegrass it's a sorry offer. The album is a just call for nashville .I thought it was ironic that the cma went to newyork city this year.Rock& roll has gone to crap rap & the out of work lead guitar players play country, with drumers & fireworks. My wife finds it odd that i don't like country.I find it odd she doesn't like bluegrass. But i do belive iam right about this album cause she likes the album .As for myself ,I know bluegrass when i here it, and this album has a fiddle mandolin & banjo but its country with a wig on.
Aw , Come on Washboard give the gal a brake! I have been in the Bluegrass braodcasting business for 30 + years and if you mean Bill wouldn't have a girl in his band type bluegrass maybe your right. But at one time he did have a female bass player and she sang too. He even wrote a song about her. Rhonda may have strayed a bit a few years back and did some countrifyed stuff but that was because of her record label. With "All American Bluegrass Girl" she came back home. And her back up is as bluegrass as they get. Even Dr. Ralph stray's a bit, "Me & God" is sure doing great on the so called country stations. And J.D.'s "Lefty's Guitar" may get some air play on some 0f the more classic country stations.

Perhaps I'm a bit prejudiced, but I think Rhonda Vincent and the Rage are the most awesome band ever! Rhonda has sweet, "true" voice as my Grandpa used to say. The Rage are awesome musicians in their own right and coming together as the Rage just makes them all the better. All American Bluegrass Girl is an autibiographical song about Rhonda and having met Carolyn and Johnny Vincent, I have to agree that they raised her right. Rhonda is a beautiful, talented person through and through and is probably the most gracious performer to her fans that I have seen. I've only heard "I'm Leaving" off the new CD but am anxiously waiting for the release. Rhonda's new album releases are a time of excitement for us Ragers. Rhonda has shared the entire experience of "Good Thing Going" with us on her website and I don't think many performers can say that. I realize everyone is entitled to their own opinion but there's so much good about RVR that I was taken by surprise by such a negative review.
