Wanted to introduce myself to this fantastic site. My name is Faris and I have been playing with my brother and sister for 30 + years. I play the guitar in the group and sing. I also play around the mandolin and fiddle. We play traditional bluegrass music and have just put out a new CD called Wise Traditions and I have sent it to Roger. I hope to hear it soon on WWB. I have been listening for about 4 days now and really like the idea of this listener steamed DJ website playing some of the best music that I have heard. There's something here in the variety of programming for everyone. Great place to stay. Take care all and drop me a line. Listen for the Lassiter Family CD called Wise Traditions and also let me know what you think about that. Faris
Just another listener of the WWB here, Faris! Thanks for making your music available to Roger! Looking forward to hearing it! Is it alright with you for your songs to go out and about all world-wide?
Does The Lassiter Family have a web site?
Welcome to the WWB! Great variety of wonderful bluegrass music!! Very special volunteer DJs who make it apparent they enjoy what they are doing!! A family-friendly, software safe chat room, too, with all kinds of good folks!! Please pop into the chat room when you get a chance!!
Well you bet it would be great for it to go out to the entire world. I have sent it to sirius and XM as well as many stations in Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and am looking to spread it around. does take awhile to get into thieir play list since it is programmed months in advance. This is what I like about WWB. This is our first CD to produce. We are a family band consisting of myself, brother (banjo), and sister (bass and Vocals). We have received some very good reviews from all around the states, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, California, Texas, of course locally in Arkansas. Thank you very much for the welcome and look forward to getting to know all on what looks to be the best of 2 worlds Bluegrass and Computers! Faris
I forgot to put the website address. Here tis. http://www.diskfaktoryjams.com/bands/193/ I certainly hope that you like it. The sound clips are only one minute long but there are several to get an idea of what the band sound like. Give me some feedback. I would love that. Until we get the CD into Rogers hands that is then you can hear the whole tunes and more. Til later, and thanks for the welcome once again. Faris
