Hi sweet baby. I posted this on billy currington's brd. on cmt and hope you don't mind and also on his street. My family is totally in love with bluegrass and always has been. I worked with Canada Immigration for years and to be honest we worked hard with the agents on this side of the border to ensure that all bluegrass talent had all their documents ready for crossing..... sometimes we called them ahead of time for smooth entry. It's just that the Stanley Brothers are so Americana in Country MUsic history of bluegrass and find it hard to get my head around this oversight. Had posted on the boards about Bill Munroe and the listing of top 100 (and the inception of Rock) songs of the 40's and no surpise Bill Munroe was there. I am stating this because Bluegrass is so interwoven in so much music. Anyway this 62 year old lady is upset and looking for a place to sign..... actually I think I will take this to CMT CAnada as well. Good Heavens. Thanks for your post darlin..... am not great at getting around the boards but want to sign the petition if I can.... and chat.... where do I find chat room. YOur old momma Nova PS: How do I tell my 82 year old mom about this????? Let alone my brothers and sisters. Sigh.

Don and/or Gracie, it's Nova and I am wondering about families who have just one email address for the whole family.   As you know, many of the older generation are not as into the net ..... and that is simply so unfair in many, many ways because it hinders these types of projects.  Have posted this on Billy Currington brds; Shania's and others and will continue as well as CMT Canada and will recheck regarding the emails once you let us know. Many times families have just the one computer and have as many as six or seven bluegrass fans and it is only fair that their names are given the honour of being listed even if the same email is used.  Many offices do this as a matter of efficiency.  Can you give me some feedback on this as it means a great deal to many of us country music fans especially someone of such status in the Americana of music history as the Stanley Brothers.  To be honest, I am still heartsick over this and am ashamed that it was on a British website I happen to come across it during a routine Billy Currington news search.  Anyway, am here and am staying and determined to see this through.  Hugs from old momma Nova.  By the by..... can you verify if all the family members can use the one email address as many often do; especially those not familiar with all the games of email names on the internet sites. 

nova  (bevy)  i apologize for not answering you  right back  to try to answer  to the best of my knowledge The Stanley brothers  were loved  world wide  so everyone should be able to sign the petition. (this is  my view.)    as for  how many signatures  do we need  ???  we need enough to make the   Hall of fame  realize the trriable injustice  by not  induction more of the pioneers if  it is one signature or  a million  .  our goal here was to get  10,000 .  we will have paper ballots at the stanley festival . i wish more venues will have paper ballots   available  for folks to sign.  . perhaps  i canj talk with Jeanie  or Dr Ralph at the stanley fstival  see  wehyat i can do about  geting  paper  pwtitions  tyo festivalos and events  i am willing to sit outside Wall Mart  it it is necessary  anything to help.  i plan to see jeanie  over  the memorial day week god bless don harris
