FiddlePicker here

Howdy all. David from Duluth, Minney-soda here.
Found your live stream, and figured to stop in and say hi here in the forums.

Now -- I need to figure out how this site works.

(Shouldn't take too long, unless the fiddle distracts me in the process ---
in which case I'll be back sometime later tomorrow!!)

Hey there Gracie. Thanks for the welcome.

It took me longer to get back to the forums here than I anticipated.
Regardless -- this station is playing here at home every night after work,
and I enjoy it immensely. (Who need's TV --eh??)

I work at a group home for developementally disabled folks (4 men),
and the one computer we have there is in the office.
Whenever the boss isn't around doing work on the puter,
I always *dial* in this station, and turn up the volume.

*My guys* (the 4 residents there) love it.
Since they are mostly sedate -- exercise is a part of their "program".
It's a real chore to get them to do so -- until you all are on.

With your music on in the background, these guys think nothing of
getting out of their easy chairs, to *doh-see-doh" in the living room.
(We just don't tell them they are *exercising*!!)
Again -- good looking site --and GREAT programming.

I was just able to add my avatar (Vassar's fiddle peghead)
Ahhhhh. I feel complete again.

David

Not at all. :) Feel free to post this anywhere you wish.
I've got some friends who are in a band called the Whistlepigs who live south of me,
down near Minneapolis/ St. Paul area, and they came here to do a concert one day.
They are a good 4 piece bluegrass/stringband (no fiddle -- sighhhhh).
THEIR WEB SITE.

I took off from work early to get a seat at the concert, and everyone at the house
was wondering who I was going to see. I told them The Whistlepigs.
Immediately BIG grins broke out, and all I heard was comments like ---
"David's gonna go listen to pigs whistle tonight!" (things like that).

Short of the long of it is -- next time I went to work,
I brought the CD I bought at the performance, put it in the CD player,
and told them all -- "Ok. Here's how pigs *whistle*".

One of the tunes on the CD was Nail That Catfish, and I started with it.
Some of the ladies who are on staff there at the house,
got these guys out of their chairs, and had them dancing in no time.

So I've been bringing in CD's for them to *exercise* to,
but your radio staion is more convenient, and has more tunes
than I have at my disposal.

Thanks again for being there for us.
And post this wherever you wish.
Your station is a benefit to all,
especially to us up here where Bluegrass is not so common.

(edited all these times, to get the Whistlepig's site to link)
Grrrrrrrrr!!!
