Howdy folks. I've just discovered this web site and would like to say I am tickled pink to know that bluegrass is still alive and well today. I play the guitar and love to listen to bluegrass music. I attend local jam sessions in my area in Texas and have met some very talented people.
I am hoping that someone here can help me find the name of the artist that sings a song I recently heard on a gospel radio station. The name of the song is 'Beyond The Rain'. In the version I heard, a man was singing the song. It's a beautiful song and I would like to own a CD of his music as well as that particular song. Any help anyone can offer will be greately appreciated.
That song is found on Pine Mountain Railroad's before last release called "Heartache & Hope" Jerry Butler sings the lead on that one. Mark Brinkman, an incredible songwriter wrote that song. You'll find him in our chatroom often mingling with the folks that come in.
You can find Pine Mountain Railroad at this address: [url=http://www.pinemountainrailroad.com]http://www.pinemountainrailroad.comPine Mountain Railroad
You'll surely enjoy it here. It's a great family we have here and very glad you found us.

Oh thanks so much for your help. I've looked all over the place for information on this song. Now I'll be able to get a copy of it for myself. I've checked out the links you suggested and am very impressed with the music of Pine Mountain Railroad.
I am lucky to have a bluegrass jam session about 40 miles from where I live. It's found in a very tiny community called Pearl,TX. There isn't much left there any more except an old school house. However, on the first Saturday of each month, people come from all over to listen to and play some of the best music you could ever want to hear. There are some great bluegrass musicians there. Once in a while I get to sit in with some of them and jam. Some of these people drive to Pearl in large RV's just to attend the all day jam. There is a lunch room where some of the best home made pies you ever tasted are served too.
No one gets paid to do any of this. It's just great music and wonderful people getting together to share great music.
Thanks again for all your help. I'll pop back in here from time to time just to see what is happening and keep up with all the great Bluegrass music.
I have tried several times to log in to the chat room but for some reason my computer locks up each time I try. I can not get to the Chat room. I have the Java software installed but it will not load and allow me enter the chat room. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might solve this problem??
I've disabled my firewall and even turned off my antivirus. Still could not enter the chat room. I have come to believe that the problem must be with the Java Console that's installed on my computer. Whenever I activate it for ANY reason my computer will lock up. I'll keep trouble shooting this little problem and maybe I'll figure out exactly what to do in order to fix this little issue. I use a cable internet connection so being on a slow dial up connection is not an issue. Sooner or later I'll get this problem solved
Vantasia, How about if you check to see if you got multiple versions of Java installed on your machine. Uninstall all of them then download the lastest version and see if that helps.

You were right. I checked my computer and yep... there was more than one installation of the jave console sitting there messing up everything I got that all corrected and BINGO!! I was able to access the chat room. Wouldn't you know it... at this time of night there wasn't any one there I work from 3PM to 11PM Monday through Friday. (Centeral Standard Time) and many times I am up late trying to unwind after work so I can go to sleep. At least I have my access problem solved so perhaps I'll be able to greet some of the nice folks in the caht room from time to time. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
Sometimes it helps to put a face to a name so I have decided to put a picture of me and my most prized position... my SPD-16K2 Martin guitar. I've had it since 2000 and I love it
