MasterShield Records Announces 3 New Project Releases

MasterShield Records announces 3 new project releases in the last three months.

The Muellers , a young eight piece family band from Maine, has a new release called, Branching Out . It contains mostly traditional tunes with some wonderful harmonies . Most of the lead vocals are sung by 14 year old Laurah and 11 year old Sarah and 19 year old Annah did a lot of the fine arrangements on songs such as, Josuha, Little Maggie and Ive just seen the Rock of Ages. Each member plays a musical instrument and 8 year old John plays fiddle on Black Eyed Susie, as well as sings lead. For such a young group, they show a lot of potential in being a band to accomplish much in bluegrass , and when you hear them perform, I think you will agree the future looks bright for The Muellers.

Another new band from Maine that has a new release is The Adrians, a four piece band from Clifton, Maine. Their cd is titled Ill Take the Blame , and is also a variety of traditional tunes with some excellent picking all throughout the album. Their energy and drive shines through on this cd and is appealing to traditional and contemporary audiences alike. Some of the tunes featured are Ramblin Letters, Truck Drivers Queen, Before the Next Teardrop Falls, and the ever favorite Shenandoah Waltz. Members unclude, Adrian Drost, Sr., Adrian Drost, Jr., Bill Thibodeau and Nancy Merrill. Additional musicians on this cd are, Bill Smith and Ed Howe. A very solid and enjoyable album

From Kentucky comes the Southern Skye band , another very good young band, whose debut album with MasterShield is Midnight Run. The album contains some interesting , original songs, such as Will There be Bluegrass Up in Heaven and Satan, Oh Satan, which are energetic and upbeat. numbers. For a more slowed-down tempo , Hold Me and These Old Blues will appeal to that audience. With all the musical talents exhibited by this young group they should find a lot of acceptance for a bright future in Bluegrass music.

I met this sweet family at the IBMA and got to hear a live performance. Not only are they really good, and have a definite presence about them.. they are a nice lookin' bunch to boot!

Karen the mom is a very caring and wonderful person. She is doing a good job raising this bluegrass brood! More power to them - they are spinning here in the stream at the WWB!

God bless our Bluegrass,
Gracie
