Riverbend Bluegrass Festival

 

        

Our 2006 music camp was a great success.  Everyone had fun and left armed

with new knowledge and determined to Play Better Bluegrass.  We would like to thank everyone

who participated and made the camp such much fun.

Instructors for our upcoming camp will be:

Frances Moonie             Upright Bass
Chris Williamson             Beginning Bass
Matt Thacker             Bass
Jeff & Honi Deaton             Songwriting & Vocals.

   Tuition will be $230 per student and will include meals. 

   Meal tickets are available for non students for $30.

  Campsites & Lodging

Riverbend Bluegrass Park has water and electrical hookups for $10 per night.

Tent or Dry Camping is free for students and $3 per night for non-participants.

Meal tickets may be purchased for $30 for non participants.

Other lodging accommodations are available in Fitzgerald, Tifton and Douglas, GA at the links below.  

Below is a tentative schedule for the weekend:

Friday

6:00pm-7:00         

Lite supper (mostly finger foods) 

7:00pm- 

Meet & Greet with instructors at stage.

After meet & greet, we usually have a short informal stage show and

then picking in the parking lot.

Saturday

7:00am-8:00

Breakfast

8:00  

Report to your instructor's tent with instrument ready to learn

8:00-12:00

Instruction

12:00-1:00

Lunch

1:00-5:00

Instruction

Supper

After Supper,  we usually have a short informal stage show and

then jamming to show off what you learned.

Sunday

7:00am-8:00

Breakfast

8:00-12:00

Instruction

12:00 

Dismissal & Lunch if you have time.

Some time during the morning, we will all

 meet at the stage for a class photo

Although the camp officially starts on Friday, you are welcome

to come early.  Our  park is open year round.
