The chat button is still there. In fact, I'm in the chat room as we speak. If you still have issues with it, contact Roger at roger@worldwidebluegrass.com and he'll fix you up I'm sure.

Thanks for the reply, Terry. I had to install Windows all over again, and now I don't see a "Chat" button in the menu. I also used to see the name and artist of the current song that is playing on the "Listen" page, and that's gone, too.
Roger may be a bit busy but I can recommend you to go to this webpage http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and download the Virtual Java Machine and see if that helps. Lots of websites now need Java to work properly.
Hope this helps, if not, let me know

Bad experience.....my listen button is gone and when I click on "Listen" in the main body of the page my media player gets an unknown error message, so now I can't even listen to WWB Also, when I click on any link in the menu in the pane I have to log back in to post a message........? I have cookies enabled, so I don't know what's up.
what operating system do you have...XP....vista? Have you tried to re-load O/S? and have you tried deleting cookies at all?? OK... I saw where you re-loaded windows.....hmmm. Reason you don't see the song titles and artists of current song being played on listen page is because Roger removed it from the listen page..so you are okay on that problem. One problem resolved and one remains.
When I had a listen button in the pane to the left it would let me choose my player. Now, when I click on "Listen" in the main body of the page it tries to open in Ares......a P2P program I downloaded. I don't know how to force it to open in WMP where I used to listen to the broadcast. Ares can't play the file. I don't mean to be a pest, but I do miss listening to the music.
From what I can understand your Ares P2P program may be contributing to the behavior of the audio player. what I would recommend is uninstall the P2P program and restart your computer. We'll then be able to see if that will help.

Well, Terry I did get the listen file to open in Music Match Jukebox, but it doesn't play. It just sits there. The direct link to the chat room seems like it might work though I haven't actually gone in there yet. I appreciate all the help. I had already lost the ability to listen before I ever downloaded Ares. I just thought it was interesting that when I tried to listen it would try to open in Ares. Don't fret it, though. God knows we have enough trouble trying yo keep our own stuff working much less than worry about somebody else's......ha ha. Thanks a bushel!
You know.......I can listen to bluegrassradio.org and bluegrasscountry.org with no problems at all. Wonder what is different about this broadcast that I can't listen here?
hmmm, I'm now wondering if it's got anything to do with your internet security settings or your firewall in XP. If any of those are too high, then it may cause some problems. It's just a wild guess at this point but anything is worth a try.

I can hardly believe this!! Now, even the "LISTEN" link is missing from the main body of the home page. Now, I can't even experiment and try to listen.......ha ha. I'd say that my next week the whole site will be eliminated from my access. Oh well.......just one of many cyber mysteries.
Give this a try and see what happens. type in http://stations.swcast.net/worldwidebluegrass and see if that opens the listen page then click on a player (one you got installed in your computer to see if it'll play the music.)
Hope this helps.
PS. The last install of windows you did, did you format the drive while installing it or did you just install windows straight. That often will cause problems if you don't do a clean install of Windows XP. As they say, Flush and start over.....LMBO

Terry, THAT DID IT!!! I opened your link, clicked on WMP. and bwala........off she took. When I did the Windows install I got a message giving me the option to delete the previous installation. I chose that option. Everything else works perfect, so I wasn't about to start all over again just to listen to one radio station....ha ha. Thanks so much for the link. I hope it continues to work for me.
I'm glad we finally got your website issues dealt with one way or another. Enjoy the station, the music and the information. This is a fantastic place! :)
